Wanda Lee was born in Beloit, Kansas on April 18, 1942, 15 minutes before her twin sister Vonda Kay, to Ethel Hanna (Behymer) and Franklin Benjamin Miller. The youngest of eight siblings, Wanda made sure to use her "older sister" status on Vonda to her advantage when needed. Growing up in Roseburg, Oregon, Wanda was baptized in Deer Creek at Pine Grove Community Church at age 12. She married Walter Vernon Miller, and they had one son, Frank Miller. Wanda was a proud grandmother to Kayla (Cody), Cassandra, and Shawn, and a doting great-grandmother to Emma, Leland, Hannah, Bella, Richard, Josh, Jasmine, and Elizabeth. She had a great sense of humor, and triumphed over many trials in life, always with a beautiful smile on her face. Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to may, Wanda passed peacefully on Wednesday, August 12, 2015, surrounded by her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and six siblings (Ward, Bob, Richard, Guyla, Alice Mae, and Harry). She is survived by her twin sister Vonda Spence, her son Frank, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as several generations of nieces and nephews and friends. The family would like to thank Wanda's caretaker Valerie Weston for her love and compassion, as well as the time she spent with Wanda being her friend, and also Mercy Hospital for the care and comfort they provided to Wanda and her family in the final part of Wanda's journey. A viewing is scheduled Monday, August 17, 2015 from 3 pm - 5 pm at Taylor's Family Mortuary in Winston. Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Pine Grove Community Church amphitheater (1729 Buckhorn Rd, Roseburg/Dixonville, Oregon). Following the memorial, a potluck will be held at O.C. Brown Park in Dixonville for any who wish to attend and share memories of Wanda. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."
