In loving memory of Wallace Willrett Went to be with the Lord, on Monday, April 4, 2011, after a battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, April 9th, 2011, at 1 p.m. in the community room of the Winston-Dillard Fire District Building at 250 SE Main, Winston, Oregon. Wally was born on July 29, 1939, in Roseburg, Oregon. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard August 1957 to August 1961. He worked for Oregon Department of Transportation for 31 years and retired in January 1996. He was an outdoor person who loved hunting, fishing and traveling. He was especially at home in his boat on the ocean. Wally was always there for anyone who needed a friend or a helping hand. He deeply loved his family. Wally is survived by the love of his life, his wife Mitzie, children Mark (Annette) Willrett of Klamath Falls, Al (Chris) Allen of Brownsville, Cindy (Jerry) Chartier of Roseburg, Lonny (Debbie) Allen of Eagle Point and Doug (Keri) Allen of Ashland and numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers, Leamon (Joyce) Willrett of Kansas City, KS & Dan Smirl of Winston & nieces, nephews, cousins & many, many friends.
