Virginia Bradshaw was born in Summerfield, Oklahoma on September 3, 1926 and went home to be with Jesus on January 28, 2010. She lived her early years in Oklahoma and later moved to California with her parents and family. She attended the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Antioch, California where she later met her sweetheart Raymond Bradshaw. They were united as one in marriage on November 7, 1946. Virginia loved her family very much. She and her husband had six children and lived in California. In 1964 they moved to Roseburg, Oregon. Virginia loved to embroider, do puzzles, listen to gospel music and attend church with her family. Between 1987 - 1996, she and her husband made several missionary trips to the Philippines. During their trip in 1996, her husband went home to be with the Lord. Virginia later returned to the Philippines in 1999 and 2002 with her son Robert. She was passionate about missionary work because of her very strong love for Jesus. Virginia is survived by her six children, James Bradshaw of Illinois, Don Bradshaw, Thelma Mandera, Ethel, Oral, and Robert Bradshaw of Oregon; Daughter-in-laws, Rita Bradshaw and Evon Bradshaw; ten grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and one on the way; sisters Louise Hood, Mary Eschiliman; and brother Charles Adair and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Rev. Raymond Bradshaw, her parents James and Luvenia Adair, her brothers Wesley, Isaac, James and John. Friends and family may pay their respects on Friday, February 5, 2010 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Taylor's Family Mortuary in Winston. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 12 noon at "The Church On The Rise" located at 3500 NE Diamond Lake Blvd. in Roseburg. In lieu of flowers an offering for the Philippines will be taken during the service.
