Ruth Mae (Mosley) Blankenship, 85 of Sutherlin, Oregon, passed away on August 15, 2024. Ruth (Sue as she was often called), the Matriarch of our Family, was born on May 12th, 1939, to James Stewart and Jessie (Templeman) Stewart (Pulver), in Troy, Montana.
Sue was proceeded in death by her loving husband of 36 years, Billy Blankenship, her Mother and Father, two sisters, five brothers, her son Donald Mosley, Jr. and her son Tony Blankenship.
Sue is survived by four children from her first marriage, Karen S. Mosley, Wayne Mosley (Marlene), Val Mosley, James Mosley, (Luminita); two children from her second marriage that she loved as her own, Toby Blankenship, Telecia Dollins (Billy); 17 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren; three brothers, two sisters and their husbands; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
Our Mom had the most beautiful smile, one that could light up a room. She had the most incredible blue eyes that you ever saw. Our Mom was a "Jack of all Trades" and could fix practically anything. She worked hard her whole life. Our Mom loved to sew and to do all types of crafts. She loved listening to her music and boy did she love to dance. Even though that had not been possible for quite a while, she still had some moves. She loved all of her Family, her friends, her pets, her home and especially her yard. Our Mom was strong and stubborn (strong willed) until the very end. The Lord has his hands full now!
Sue will be remembered as a loving wife, a wonderful Mother, Grandmother (Nana), Daughter, Sister, Aunt and Friend. She will be greatly missed, but not forgotten!
Rest easy Mom (Nana), you deserve it! Till we meet again! We love you!
Private cremation is being handled, per her wishes, by Taylor's Family Mortuary in Winston, Oregon. There will be a private graveside service with pizza afterwards, at a later date.
