Ronald "Corky" Eugene Richards died suddenly at the age of 77 on February 12 ^th , 2022. Corky loved sweets and cakes, meat and potatoes, cable TV, shopping at the market, and taking naps, and not necessarily in that order. He hated low sodium foods and bad drivers. In his early years as a child, he mastered raising pigeons and did so for many years after that. He started his own business out of his garage at the age of 30 and did very well for many years. As an LA Dodger fan, he bled blue through and through and he loved his LA Rams too. He could recite plays from decades ago like Vince Scully did and he'd sit with his sons and talk about players and plays and all that jazz. He was also good at a game of chess, baseball, and pool; he shot left and right-handed too. Can't forget what a hotshot he was at poker and cards. He got married after three days of courtship when he was 23 to the love of his life Debi and it lasted over 2 decades. They created 4 wonderful children: Shawn, Aaron, Shannon, and Randall. It was such a great marriage that he married her twice! They stayed friends until the day she died. Corky was a friend to many, taking in countless friends and relatives over the years when they needed him most. Corky will be sorely missed by his kids and the rest of his family. He was a proud Army veteran, and we thank him for that. He left behind his kids Shawn Richards and his wife Tereasa and grandchildren Lilly and Violet, and Aaron Richards and granddaughter Paloma, and Shannon Udland and her husband Aaron and grandchildren Sierra, Michael, Milo, and Michael, and Randall Richards and his wife Tiffany and grandchild Christian, and nephew (more like a son) Ronald Acosta. Corky will be buried at the VA Roseburg Cemetery in Roseburg, OR.
