Ronald Andrew Ellis, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on December 23, 2023, at the age of 82 in Winston, Oregon. Born on March 21, 1941, in Kimball, Nebraska, Ronald was the beloved son of Ralph and Opal Ellis.

Ronald's life was marked by a deep love for God and a warm, embracing spirit that touched the lives of all who knew him. His 82 years were filled with laughter, love, and an unwavering commitment to family. Ronald's journey began in the United States Air Force, where he served with honor for 26 years, dedicating his time and talents to the defense of his country and retiring as a Master Sergeant in June 1989. Following his military service, he continued his commitment to public service, working for 15 years in civil service at Edwards Air Force Base, California,

A pillar of strength and a source of joy, Ronald found his greatest happiness in the company of his family. For 38 years, he shared a love story with his wife, Jane Ellis, that served as an inspiration to all who witnessed it. Together, they built a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Ronald is survived by his loving wife, Jane, and his three children, Karen, Debbie, and Stephen. Ronald's compassion extended beyond his immediate family, and he embraced his extended family with open arms. His extended children include Trorina, Troy, David, and Shelly. He was preceded in death by two of his extended children, Crystal Rose and Terry, their memories live on in our hearts.

Ronald's legacy resonates through his 65 grandchildren and  great-grandchildren, each one a testament to the love and warmth he shared.

While Ronald's physical presence will be deeply missed, his spirit will forever endure in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. He was a man of diverse interests, finding joy in reading, playing games, square dancing, singing, attending church, and creating lasting memories with his family. His sense of adventure led him to the wildlife safari, camping trips, his love for eagles and countless hours of laughter.
