Obituary

Ronald Gene Anderson, 72, of Tenmile went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 3, 2014. Ronald was born in Eugene, Oregon on February 20, 1941 to Theodore and Eloise Anderson. He lived his whole life in the Tenmile area attending local schools and graduating from Douglas High School. While in school he meet Carolynn Cotton and in September of 1960 they were married. Ronald worked for Roseburg Forrest Products for 44 years until he retired in 2003. He was a proud member of the local union 2949. Together Ronald and Carol enjoyed fishing in the Coos river for salmon and crabbing on the coast. After many years of nights camping on the ground they had a home built in Charleston. He also enjoyed hunting and spending time in eastern Oregon as well as jeeping with friends. They loved to travel to Cancun in Mexico making it a yearly trip. Ronald loved his family and enjoyed time with them. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Carolynn and three children, Jimmy and his wife Teresa of Tenmile, David also of Tenmile and Janis and her husband Donald Wilson of Roseburg. He leaves his two granddaughters Jamie and her husband Eric Brittain as well as Tyler Mercer. Ronald is survived by his brother Darrel and wife Ruth and three nieces. His family wants to thank his dedicated hospice team including Keri and Rebeca. This past summer a Celebration of Ronald's Life was held at the family home when he could enjoy the stories and fellowship. Arrangements under the direction of Taylor's Family Chapel.
