Obituary

Robert William Richardson went to be with his Lord and Savior on Aug. 6, 2026. Born in Lakeview, Oregon, to Oliver and Charlotte Richardson on Sept. 7, 1946, the youngest of four brothers. After graduation he joined the Navy and served during the Vietnam War on the U.S.S Chicago. While in the Navy he married his love Carol Thompson and they shared 59 ½ years together.

In 1971, God called him into ministry, and he attended Eugene Bible College. There he met the other two-thirds of the three musketeers and lifelong friends, Dick (Linda) Hadley and Gene (Jan) Knight. He went on to pastor many different churches throughout Douglas County. He also worked at Roseburg Forest Products for several years; he was a member of local union 2949.

He enjoyed ministry, hunting and fishing, but mostly loved his God and spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents Oliver and Charlotte Richardson, a brother John Richardson, sisters-in-law Peggy Richardson and Mary Richardson, a nephew Matthew Richardson, and grandson Joshua Coultas, and his best friend Dick Hadley. He is survived by his wife Carol Richardson, daughter Teresa (Beaver) Coultas, son Scott (Amy) Richardson, grandchildren Andrew (Cheryl) Coultas, Marissa Coultas, Madison Coultas, Brandon Richardson, Tallia Richardson, Bethany Richardson, Emilee Ball and Ayden Ball. Great-grandchildren Raven Coultas, Sequoia Coultas, Jasmine Richardson, and soon- coming Willow Batty, brothers Jim Richardson and Butch (Kay) Richardson, and multiple nieces and nephews.

He was loved and will be missed by all that knew him. There will be a service held at 1 p.m., on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2026, at the Winston Foursquare Gospel Church. There will be a dinner following.
