Phyllis Ann Delaunay was born to Albert Delaunay and Mary Delaunay on Feb. 2, 1940, in Drain, Oregon. Phyllis met the love of her life Harl Clark during her school years in Drain and they married shortly after high school. Harl and Phyllis had three children: Daniel Clark, Diana Knous (with her husband Doug Knous) and Darin Clark.
Phyllis devoted her entire life to serving others and her family well. By profession, she was a well known and loved jeweler in southern Oregon for decades. Phyllis graciously served her community with many years of volunteer work for organizations such as Meals on Wheels of Roseburg, Habitat for Humanity of Douglas County and Mercy Hospital. Phyllis and Harl were also longtime members of Redeemers Fellowship in Roseburg.
Phyllis loved to travel as often as she could to the islands of Hawaii. Phyllis and Harl celebrated their 50th anniversary in Waikiki with all the children and grandchildren present.
Phyllis is survived by her many adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren including Jessica Corder Hutchinson, Tom Clark, Shayla Kirkendall, Evan Clark, Lucas Corder, David Clark and Blaine Clark, Callan Kirkendall, Landry Hutchinson, Jovie Kirkendall, Gunner Hutchinson, Kendric Kirkendall, Hawkins Hutchinson and Ann Clark.
Phyllis was preceded in death by many loved ones including her parents, her brother Lyle and her husband of 60 years, Harl.
A service will be held at 4 p.m. Oct. 18, 2024, at The Gathering Place, 2500 NE 78th, Vancouver, Washington
