Patricia Lea Miner peacefully passed away at her home on June 30, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on June 19, 1935, in Danville, Illinois to Tom and Verna Johnson. In 1970, she married John Miner. Together, they forged a strong and lasting bond that lasted for 54 wonderful years. Their marriage was a true testament to love, hard work and shared dreams. Pat possessed a unique talent for creating a nurturing and loving home and the ability to transform every holiday into a joyous celebration, she guaranteed that family gatherings were always rich with affection, delicious meals, and cherished memories. One of her greatest joys was her role as "Grandma," a title she cherished deeply. She took great joy in attending her grandchildren's birthday celebrations, sporting events, and graduations, making each grandchild feel uniquely cherished. Her listening ear, wise advice, and comforting hugs were always available when they were needed most. Patricia is survived by her devoted husband, John Miner; their children, Teresa Goodman, Russ Parson, Tammy Hendricks, Ruth Madden and Mindy Tarpley; as well numerous great-great-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and grandchildren, each of whom carries a piece of her beautiful spirit. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Verna Johnson; her brother, Tom Johnson; her sister, Donna Earles; her son, Christopher Parson; and her granddaughter, Nicole Parson. A funeral service will be held on July 14, 2025, at 11:00 am at Taylor's Family Mortuary in Winston. After the service, she will be laid to rest at Coles Valley Cemetery in Umpqua. Friends and family are warmly invited to gather afterward at River Forks Park Pavilion, beginning at 2:00 PM, to celebrate her remarkable life. Additionally, a potluck dish would be warmly welcomed.
