Oma Louise Day Thomas

"Grannyom"

Came into this world at her Grandma Mandy's home in San Angelo, Texas. She was born to William Homer Day Sr & Clarice Geraldine Creech Day. Her father had passed away 27 days before her birth while working for the Santa Fe Railroad. She grew up with her 6 Loving siblings, Homer, Dub, Geraldine, Idalene, Glenda & Jackson.

She married Harry Leland (Lee) Thomas on January 16, 1953 in Roseburg, Oregon. They brought 3 children into their life; Leann, Cindy, Harry. Lee and Oma enjoyed working  on their Family Ranch together.

Oma owned her own Real Estate Business and belonged to the Million Dollar Club for several years. Oma was also a member of the Oregon Eastern Star and Amaranth since 1975. Oma was also the Green Elementary PTA President while her daughters were in school there.

She enjoyed working in her yard where she grew many beautiful flowers & plants. The highlight of Oma's life was being Grannyom to her Grandchildren and loved spending time with her Grandchildren & Great Grandchildern. She enjoyed watching her Grandkids and Great Grandkids play sports.

Oma is survived by her 3 children Harry M. Thomas & wife Julie; Leann (Tobie) & husband Joe Siegfried; Cindy (Duggan) Thomas; foster daughter Tracy (Lowe) & husband Mark Atherton. Her Siblings James (Dub) Day, Geraldine (Day) Neptune, Idalene Jemeyson, Glenda Leiken, Jackson Jemeyson and Sister in-law Katherine (Kitty) (Johnson) Mackey, and son in-law Dan Leifeste. 9 Grandchildren Joseph Thomas, Levi Thomas, Tommie Thomas Scheid, Katie (Siegfried) Spencer, Seth Thomas, Sarah (Siegfried) Ballard, Danny Pfeuffer, Rosa (Leifeste) Wood, Clement Leifeste and Jerry Atherton. Great Grand children Harlee Thomas, Justine Thomas, Cameron Kines, Leland Thomas, Derrick Kines, Skyla-Jo Thomas, Scarlett Scheid, Eliza Leifeste, Levi Thomas, Thomas Wood, Benny Spencer, Maycee Thomas, Trevor Spencer, William Wood, Layton Thomas, Archer Scheid, Hunter Scheid, Sophie Thomas, Lee Wood, Hannah Ballard, Baby Thomas, Baby Girl Thomas, Zuri Pfeuffer, Wyatt Pfeuffer, McKenzie Atherton. Many Nieces & Nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband Harry Leland Thomas in 1997, father Homer in 1936 and her mother Clarice in 2002.

We also would like to thank Marilyn Parnell, Julie Thomas, and Tobie Siegfried for all the care they gave our Mother & Grannyom while she fought a Great Fight against cancer.

The family will have a celebration of life in August 2024.
