Melva Dawn Warren

(Melva) Dawn Warren passed away peacefully on September 12th, 2026. She was born March 8th, 1936 in Annis, Idaho, to Bertha and Mondell Tolman. One of nine children with six sisters and two brothers. In 1954, she married Paul Warren, whom she met at a roller skating rink in Nampa, Idaho, and together they built a life full of family and faith. In 1977, Dawn earned her nursing degree and served as an RN at Douglas Community Hospital in Roseburg, Oregon, until retirement. After retiring, she worked at the farmers market, selling plants and flowers she started and cultivated herself. She found joy in her garden and had a soft spot for God’s creatures, feeding hummingbirds, squirrels, and any stray that wandered in. She is survived by her brother Hal, her six children, thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, with two on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul, and 7 of her siblings. A graveside service will be held September 26th at 3pm at Lookingglass Cemetery, followed by a potluck and ice cream at Lookingglass Grange.
