Margaret Rose Parker, age 98, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 in Winston, Oregon. She was born on December 1, 1927 in Scraper, Oklahoma to Earnest and Clara Williams. Margaret was the oldest of three children followed by a brother Earnest Rober Williams Jr. and a sister Carolyn Fay Williams Johnson. She was raised and educated close to Tahlequah, Oklahoma before her family moved to San Pablo, California. It was there that she met her husband Clarence E. Parker. The two were married on May 21, 1945, in Reno, Nevada. After their children were born, Margaret and Clarence eventually made their home in Winston, Oregon where they built their life and raised their family. Margaret was a hardworking woman who held several jobs throughout her life. She worked as an Avon representative, a housekeeper at the Douglas Community Hospital, and later worked as a housekeeper for the head of a local logging company. She eventually went to work for the Dillard, Winston and Tenmile School District for 17 years as a cook, server, and food delivery driver.
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents Earnest and Clara Williams, brother Earnest Rober Williams Jr, husband Clarence E. Parker, son Randy Dean Parker, and grandson Michael. She is survived by her three sons Gerry Parker (Janey Parker), Robert Parker (Joan Parker), and Steve Parker (Vida Parker); sister Carolyn Johnson (Bob Johnson); grandchildren Shelley, Tanis, Sara, Robert, Manda, BreAnna, Bryan, Steven, Kyle, and Stacey; great grandchildren Chevy, Austyn, Destiny, Dean, Ayla, Elias, Shyanne, Cohen, Hailey, Anthony, Felisha, Elijah, Mikaela, EmmaLee, Savannah, Jazzmyn, and Ryanne; as well as her great-great-grandchildren who brought her so much happiness in the end - when those babies came to visit, her face would light up! Margaret will be remembered for her hardworking spirit, her love for her family, the Lord, and the joy she found in watching her family grow through many generations. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a family who will carry her love with them always.
Funeral services will be held at the Winston Community Center on Friday, October 9, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Friends and family may pay their respects on Thursday, October 8, 2026 at Taylor’s Family Chapel in Winston, Oregon from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
