Maralyn Regina Herrin Meacham passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on May 20, 2022. Born October 4, 1935 in Yakima,WA, she grew up on a farm where they raised dairy cows and chickens. She had many memories of cleaning eggs and placing them in cartons. During the summers you could find her picking all kinds of berries at her summertime job. After graduating Mount Baker High School in 1953 she met the love of her life Glenn Meacham. They had a whirlwind courtship where he impressed her with his dance moves and good humor. They were married on August 28, 1954, in Palo Alto,CA. Together they had 3 children and built a successful life. Maralyn loved to quilt and made several intricate quilts that she gifted for special occasions. Her figurine collection brought her immense joy and she was constantly on the search for more items to add. She made many cross-country road trips with Glenn over the years. They enjoyed traveling together, be it by car, plane, or cruise ship. The trip she enjoyed the most was when they did the Canadian Rail tour on the Rocky Mountaineer. They made their way from Vancouver to Niagara Falls by train and air and loved every mile. Marayln was proceeded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Glenn Meacham; daughter Cynthia Meacham Proctor; parents George & Regina Herrin; and older sisters Jane Willert & Dorothy Sherckengast. She is survived by her son Mike (Janet) Meachan of Ft. Bragg,CA, and daughter Gina (Emerson) Schenck of Myrtle Creek,OR. She was a loving grandmother to Erin (Brandon) Kerlee, Shana (Andrew) Wright, Sheridan Schenck, Kayla (Joe) George, Shelby (Kyle) Hieb, and Wesley Meacham. Great-Grandmother of Ricky, Penny, Jackson, Parker, Frankie, June, Rose, Isabella, Bailey, Christian, Clayton, Chance, Cutter, Carver, Alice and Kash. At her request, there will be no funeral service. She will be interned at Roseburg National Cemetery with the love of her life. Maralyn touched many lives while here on Earth.
