Malinda Annetta Shrenk Crisp went to sleep on November 19th 2025. She is resting peacefully waiting for Jesus' return
September 7, 1928 Malinda was born in Minnow S.D. to John and Katherine Shrenk She met John Crisp shortly before he was deployed to the South Pacific. They corresponded during his deployment. Upon his return from the Army she married the love of her life, John on April 2nd, 1947. They were married for 71 years, and had 4 children. Malinda went back to school and got her degree in elementary education.
She taught first grade her entire career. First in Pilot rock Oregon, then at Eastwood elementary in Roseburg Oregon, retiring in 1988. Her retirement was filled with substitute teaching gardening, painting and having wonderful times with her family.
Malinda is survived by her son, Jerry (Linda) Crisp, daughter Nancy Worley, son Norm (Cherri) Crisp, and daughter-in-law Ruth Crisp Pappas. 4 Grand children, Stephen (Amanda) Worley, David (Chloe) Worley, Michael (Stephanie) Crisp, and Kimberly (Philip) Schermerhorn, and 18 Great grand children. She was proceeded in death by her husband John, son Wayne Crisp, and son-in-law, George Worley. Special thank you to Melissa Haight and Melanie Gugman for their tender loving and faithful caregiving. And thank you to Amedisys Hospice for their care and support. Memorial will be held at Roseburg seventh day Adventist Tuesday, November 25th at 1:00 pm.
