Linda Rumery

April 14, 1944 – July 9, 2025

It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Linda Rumery (née Davis, formerly Weller), who left us on July 9, 2025, in Roseburg, Oregon, at the age of 81. She was born on April 14, 1944, in Bismarck, North Dakota, to Russell and Lucille Davis.

Linda graduated from Wadena High School in 1962. Over the years, she wore many hats: devoted mother, loving grandmother and great-grandmother, sister, friend, and sharp-witted conversationalist. She made friends with everyone she met—nobody was a stranger to her. Linda had a deep relationship with her siblings, but especially with her sister Sally. Linda cherished her sister dearly, and the two shared a very special bond.

In her earlier years, she co-owned the Green Tree Inn restaurant in Winston, Oregon, with her first husband, Jack Weller. After their divorce, she relocated to Minnesota, where she later married Rodger Rumery. Eventually, she moved to Chehalis, Washington, where she worked in real estate and built a life full of friendships and purpose.

She loved card games, was known for her infamous recipes, and had a sharp wit that kept everyone laughing. But above all, she deeply loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandsons, who brought her immense joy.

She is survived by her two daughters, Kerri White (née Weller) and Kristi Miller (née Weller); her former husbands, Jack Weller and Rodger Rumery; her beloved grandchildren, Megan Miller (née Weller), Jessica Fundin (née Miller), and Spencer White; and her cherished great-grandsons, James, Silas and Aidan Miller.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Lucille Davis; her sister, Sally Lehr; her brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Benda Davis; and her son-in-law, Jeff Miller.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025, at Riverbend Park in Winston, Oregon. All who knew and loved Linda are welcome to attend and celebrate her life.

Linda will be remembered for her warmth, her humor, and the way she made everyone feel at home. Her legacy of love and laughter lives on in all who knew her.
