Kristina Kathleen Burke passed away peacefully at her home on April 1, 2025, at the age of 55. Kristina endured her illness with courage, grace, dignity, and hope, and never complained when things got difficult. She was a loving wife, mother to Noah and Gabe, grandmother (K-ma to Kash), daughter, sister, and loyal friend to those who knew her kind and gentle heart.

Kristina was born Jan. 13, 1970, in Lebanon, Oregon, where she spent her childhood. At age 15, she moved with her family to Roseburg, Oregon. She was born to Robert Lee Schnicker and Diana Kathryn Neeley (Johnson), and she was raised with love by Diana and her dad, Brent Neeley. Kristina is preceded in death by her mother, Diana, brother, David Stout, and sister, Debbie Nielsen (Stout).

Kristina is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Melvin K Burke, (twin boys) Noah David Burke and Gabriel Holland Burke, (Madi Hester/Fiancé), grandson Kash Holland Burke, dad Brent Neeley, and several nieces and nephews. Kristina and Melvin were married in September of 1999. Kristina was the most loving, kind, gentle, faithful, loyal, dedicated, best wife, and mother to Noah and Gabe. Kristina was my best friend. Her boys were the light of her life, she was proud of them, and she cherished being the best mom she could be. The boys were her "honeys". One of her utmost joys was spending time with her grandson, Kash. The two had such a special bond, and she loved being K-ma. Kristina lived her life to care for her family. Her love and dedication were unwavering, and she was always present. Kristina was beautiful, she had a contagious, warm smile, and loved endlessly and unconditionally.

Kristina appreciated family, fashion, nails, hair, beauty, and strong coffee with creamer. She loved day trips to the coast, Crater Lake, Wildlife Safari, and a warm campfire. Kristina enjoyed the color purple, sunflowers, decorating, and taking care of our pets (Max/Ryley/Laney), and relished a clean, neat, and tidy home. She worked at Wilson's Chapel of the Roses for 12 years as a receptionist and office assistant, where she enjoyed helping families during their sorrow. She had compassion, kindness, and heartfelt words of peace and comfort for those mourning a loss.

Kristina was proud to be the mother to Noah and Gabe, she said they were her greatest accomplishment in this life. Kristina was a dedicated mom to our boys. Raising twins was a challenge in the beginning as they came early as preemies, but she helped form them into the kind and gentle-hearted young men they are today. Kristina was most proud of their love and dedication to each other as brothers, a bond that began from the beginning, nurtured by her love for them both. She never missed any of their school events or games and ensured they were on time. Kristina was the boy's best supporter and cheerleader!

Kristina will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is gone far too soon. The family would like to thank CHI Mercy Hospice and the nurses that gave compassionate care, Renee, Michelle, Debbie, Melissa, Chaplain Sabin, and all the staff in hospice.
