Jeffrey Robert Scott went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly due to complications from diabetes August 30,20l3 at his home in Molalla, Oregon. He was born Oct. 21,1960 in Coos Bay, OR. He grew up in Roseburg, attending Fullerton lV, Fremont Jr. High & Roseburg High. He was Landscape Supervisor of Linfield College, McMinnville, Oregon for several years until a bad car accident just before Christmas 2011, he was lucky to survive, occurred, and he was physically unable to continue there. His family and traditional family gatherings meant everything to him, especially the annual 4th of July family camp out for 24 years at William F. Tugman State Park. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He liked to bake and his daughters' friends and teammates, his co-workers, neighbors and family were the lucky recipients of his delicious desert bars. He loved the North Umpqua River and many of his friends gave him the nickname "River-Man" much to his delight. He took his role of father to his children, his role of big brother to Craig and Amy, and his role of uncle to his niece Heather and nephew Austin seriously and was a wonderful son to his mom and dad. He is survived by his 3 beloved children, son Ryan Scott (Caylee) of San Rafael, CA, & daughters Nikki Scott, & 8-year old Olivia Scott of Portland,OR. His kids were the blessing, light and joy of his life. He is also survived by his father Robert G. Scott of Cottage Grove, his mom & step-dad Wanda & Bob Moffitt of Glide, his brother Craig Scott of Oakland, OR, his sister Amy Miller(Derick) of Oakland, OR, niece Heather Greer of Roseburg & nephew Austin Miller of Oakland, OR., his 2 loving aunts Jean Harlow of Anacortes, WA & Janice Riches of Hoquiam, WA, his 6 cousins from Washington, his step-sister, Debbie Waldrop (Jeff) of Junction City, step-brother Rick Moffitt (Jane) of Lebanon, step-sisters Lisa, Cindy, and step-brother Clint of Cottage Grove, and his ex-wife and friend Alana of Portland. He is also is survived by Rhett Lange, his very best friend since 5th grade & loved him like a brother. He was preceded in death by his much loved grandparents who thought the world of their first grandchild & are now reunited with him. We love you, Jeff, & you will be missed so much. But it gives us peace to know your struggles of the last couple of years are over and you are at peace. We were always so proud of you. There will be a huge hole in our lives, but you will live on in our memories & hearts forever and ever and we will miss you forever.
