Obituary

Jeff entered this world on August 20 th , 1961, to loving parents David Sr. and Rosalie, as
the youngest child of five.
He grew up in Sutherlin Oregon on the homestead east of Sutherlin known as
Nonpareil. His childhood was that of a little blonde-haired, blue-eyed country boy.
Adventures were abundant for him. The Calapooia Creek, for crawdad hunting and
swimming. Hiking the forest behind his house and driving his lil replicate Packard, that
his Uncle Bobby had built for him, up and down Red Road and traversing the lil pond.
Jeff started his schooling at the one room schoolhouse in Nonpareil then transferred to
the city of Sutherlin to finish his education and graduated from Sutherlin High School,
the class of 1979. He was surrounded by great friends, Randy, Tim, Tyler (Janet), and
JC. You were friends for life.
In the fall of 1979, he was introduced to the love of his life on a blind date. He met
another blonde-haired, blue-eyed girl that he loved from first sight, Lisa Endicott, from
Roseburg Oregon, a city girl, thanks to Mike and Binky Brim. Jeff and Lisa were united
in marriage on March 20 th , 1982, in Sutherlin Oregon. Jeff and Lisa moved to Green
area of Roseburg in July of 1983 and bought their first and only home. On February
20 th , 1984 they brought their only child, Ryan Scott Knee into their lives and the family
was complete. He was a family man that loved so big.
Jeff was a hard-working man, his father taught him that. He started his grocery career
at age 16, receiving his driver's license and first job at Richards Food Center in
Sutherlin on the same day and never looked back. He worked on work release
everyday while in high school. After graduating he was off on a career that honored his
personality and work ethic. He was the youngest night manager in Richards Food
Center at age 18. He moved up in the company an then the company changed to Drive
N Save, he was successful in becoming on the managing team and worked at the
Sutherlin and Winston locations. He was given the opportunity to go to work for one of
his mentors, Mike Misti, an so became his adventure at Michael's IGA, in Winston as
the Manager for Mike. He worked for Mike, as Store Manager and eventually was given
the opportunity to be Operations Manager for both stores in Winston and Roseburg. In
1999, he was giving the chance to move from retail grocery to a vendor position with
Reser's Fine Foods, as a route salesman. Jeff worked for 22 years and retired from this
company he loved. Reser's was his other family and made lifelong friends and
relationships. He was celebrated many times for his accomplishments with this
company. His proudest memory is being a million-dollar man. After his retirement he
and Lisa sold the house and bought a dream motorcoach to begin their next life
adventure. They were excited about all the places to see and visit. Jeff was very proud

of this accomplishment and was looking forward to his next chapter, which Lisa will fulfill
his wishes.
Jeff was taking to be with the lord peacefully and gently, on March 7 th ,2023 at the age of
61, from complications due to a heart attack. He leaves behind his wife of 41 years and
