Obituary

Jack L. Goad of Myrtle Creek, Oregon passed away on Monday, February 4, 2013 at the age of 79. The angels seemed fit to take Jack home when they knew his health could no longer be restored, as no cure was in sight. He bravely fought cancer for three years. He chose to stay in his home where he passed away peacefully. Jack was a veteran of the United States Army and served in 1952. Jack was a man of many talents and was very creative. He delighted in sharing his talents with others. Some of Jack's favorite pastimes and hobbies included: black-powder shooting, leather making and going to rendezvous' and powwows, cutting and polishing rocks and many trips to Mexico with his wife Elaine and friend Harold Ulrich. He married his wife Elaine on December 31, 1962 and recently shared their 50th wedding anniversary. He blessed those who knew him with his zest for life and mischievous twinkle in his eyes and his warm sense of humor.
