Gary Ray Worthington was born April 3, 1946, and passed away Jan. 22, 2025, at the age of 78. Gary truly knew how to love and share love with everyone he met. He was a loving father, husband, grandfather, brother and son. He was born in Astoria and raised in Beaver, Oregon, where he loved helping with the family farm along with his three brothers, sister and cousins. For the love of his country, he joined the US Navy. After fulfilling his Naval service, he relocated to Tenmile, Oregon, and met his first wife, Jodi Bryant, and raised their two boys, Mark and Scott. After the passing of Jodi, he remarried Marie Cofer. Gary loved to spend time outside whether it was hunting, fishing, digging clams or gardening. Gary's greatest love was displayed in his love for the Lord. He was a deacon for the Community Baptist Church in Winston, Oregon, and enjoyed volunteering his time performing his duties to the church with Marie.Gary is survived by his wife, Marie, his two sons Mark (Barbara) and Scott, stepchildren Carol, Ronda and Mandy, 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, brothers Morris (Linda), Earl Lee (Nancy), sister Karen (Paul), and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by parents Earl and Agnes, spouse Jodi and brother Larry. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday,    Feb. 1, 2025, at the Winston Community Baptist Church.
