Gail peacefully entered into the presence of His Lord and Savior, Sunday, December 15, 2013 after a short battle with cancer. His son and daughter were with him during his passing. Gail was born in Roseburg, Oregon, to Glen Francis and Juanita (Bowman) Good on November 8, 1949. He and his twin brother, Glen, were the long awaited joy of their parents after several years between them and their older brother and sister. Gail began his education at Tenmile Elementary and graduated from Douglas High School in 1967 and later attended Lane Community College. During high school, he was active in football, choir and band, achieving first-chair trombone and also was a member of a folk music ensemble. Music was an important part of his life either in listening to his favorite groups or playing the guitar and singing his own rendition. Life-long hobbies included fishing, fly tying, watching football, rock hunting and stamp collecting. Gail worked at Roseburg Forest Products as a Leadman or as a computerized saw operator for many years. After the phasing out of his mill operation, he was employed for a short time at Mercy Medical Center and spent the last 18 years as the Facilities Manager at Phoenix School. The great joys of his life were his two children, Tony and Victoria, born to him and Annette McGregor. Most of his spare time was spent enjoying them and later his grandchildren. Gail was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, George; and an infant brother, Gary Glen. He is survived by his son, Tony and daughter in-law, Kayla; daughter, Victoria; stepsons: Jason (Rhonda) Hall and Bryan (Michelle) Hall; granddaughter, Elizabeth; grandsons Chevy and Peyton; granddaughter to be, Temperance; his sister, Diane Carr of Phoenix, Arizona; brother, Glen M. (Lisa) Good of Oakland; sister, Mary Susan (Steve) Hammell of Roseburg; sister, Gretchen Fraser-Dean of Eugene, Oregon and numerous nieces and nephews.
