Eleanor was born on April 21, 1936 and passed away on May 9, 2025 at the age of 89 in her own home with her family by her side.

She was born to Herbert and Iva (Jordan) Ilett in New Plymouth, Idaho, the second of seven children. She is survived by one brother, Don, and three sisters Myrna, Barbara, and Jeanie. Eleanor married Irvin Syrie on August 15, 1953 and they were married for 58 years until Irvin's death in 2011. They had six children. Eleanor was a wonderful mother and homemaker. She worked as a caregiver after her children were raised. She had a very giving heart and loved helping those in need. She was a member of The Church of Christ for over 65 years, and loved her church family. Most of all, our Mother loved her family! She had six favorite children: Sherry, Vicky, Marlene, Craig, Carl, and Brenda. She had many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and even some great great grandchildren which she loved them all unconditionally. Mom loved to travel around the USA, especially with family alongside her. She loved the Oregon coast and camping. Our Mother had the best sense of humor and loved to laugh. We will miss her forever!

Her service will be at The Garden Valley Church of Christ on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 11:00 am, with Dale Roberts presiding. There will be a potluck luncheon directly after the service.
