Eileen R. Neis Eileen passed on into the loving arms of our Great Lord on June 24th, 2010. She was born January 29th, 1920 in Pharr, Texas to parents Fred and Viola Miller. Eileen met her future husband, Leon, while going to school in Topeka, Kansas. They were married September 24th, 1939. They shared 48 years of marriage before Leon's passing in 1988. With this union 4 kids were born, Robert, Larry, David and Mary. Mom always said she had the best kids anyone could have but we all said we had the best mom anyone could have! Besides her parents and her husband Leon, her son David, grandson Adam and her brother Charles have already gone before her. Eileen is survived by her sons, Robert (Patty) of Eugene, Larry (ReVona) of Roseburg, daughter-in-law Helen of Springfield and her daughter Mary (Bill) Damewood of Roseburg, 12 grandchildren and 15 Great- grandchildren. Eileen is also survived by her brother Lloyd Miller of Pennsylvania and sisters Alice Stewart of Springfield, Dorris Falley of Bend and Martha Melvin of Topeka, Kansas. A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held at 2:30pm August 1st, 2010 at the Dillard-Winston United Methodist Church.
