Edward Glenn Jantz , age 58, of Oakland, Oregon, passed away on June 2, 2011. Glenn was born on March 2, 1953 in San Diego, California to parents Cecil and Joyce (Darden) Jantz. He was the adored youngest of three boys. He was raised in San Diego and attended Chula Vista High school in San Diego. Glenn was a crane operator in heavy construction and has been a member of International Union of Operating Engineers since 1979. He worked mainly in Southern California retiring in 2005 when he moved to Oakland to be near his family. Glenn enjoyed music, target shooting and spending time with his dogs. He also enjoyed visiting his many friends in Oakland. He is survived by two nieces, Juliet Summer Swan her husband Aaron and their children Savannah and Angus of Oakland and Jennifer Joyce Young her husband Tony and her children Rafael and Christina Partida. Glenn also leaves an aunt Sue Davison and many loving cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Cecil John Jantz Jr. and William Karl Jantz as well as his faithful canine companions Bishop, Otis, Oliver and Lil. Glenn was kind, gentle, generous and hard working. He was loved by friends and family and will be greatly missed. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday July 2, 2011 at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Oakland. A potluck will follow at the Swan Quarry on Green Valley Road.
