Resting with his Heavenly Father now, Dwayne W. Stevens passed away at his home on October 1, 2011, in accordance with his wishes. Dwayne was born in Cedar City, Utah on October 13, 1958 to Don and Glenna Stevens. At a very early age his family moved to Roseburg, where he attended grade schools and graduated from Roseburg High School in 1977. He joined the U.S. Air Force for the following two years, then returned home to Roseburg, working for Roseburg Forest Products. Dwayne met the love of his life in the fall of 1979, and married his brown eyed girl on April 4, 1980. Dwayne attended goldsmithing school and together they opened his dream business, Gold Fantasys Jewelry of Roseburg, which was his life's work for almost 25 years. Along the way they were blessed with two beautiful babies, a son and then a daughter. Dwayne was preceded in death by his father Don Stevens and his older brother Gary Stevens. He is survived by his wife Cynthia of their home in Lookingglass, Oregon; his son and daughter-in-law Zachary and Yessidey Stevens of Dallas, Texas; his daughter and son-in-law Nicole and Joseph Barber of Milwaukee, Oregon; an "adopted" daughter Ariela Myler, her husband Weston and son Dallen of Albany, Oregon. Dwayne is also survived by his mother and stepfather, Glenna and Glenn Frandsen of Lookingglass; his sister and brother-in-law Diane and Kelly Bural, nieces LeAnna Bond and Julie Fitzhugh and their families, all of Brookings, Oregon; brother Russell Stevens and his daughter Brittnee of Roseburg, Oregon; his mother and father-in-law Del and Paulette Zwirn of Sutherlin, Oregon; sister and brother-in-law Melissa and Carl Roberts, nephew and niece Tyler and Hannah Roberts all of Glide, Oregon; sister and brother-in-law Sarah and Gene Morin of Sutherlin, OR; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins in Utah, Colorado and California. Beloved husband, father, son, brother, nephew, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle and friend, while you are gone from our sight you will never be forgotten. Farewell until we meet again. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to Cancer Treatment Centers of America, checks can be dropped off or sent to Taylor's Family Mortuary P.O. Box 583, Winston, OR 97496. Funeral services will be held at the Winston Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 11:00 am. Interment will be at the Lookingglass Community Cemetery.
