Doyle S. Bell, 82, of Roseburg, Oregon, a cherished husband, devoted father, loving grandfather and proud great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at home Nov. 14, 2024, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family.

Born Sept. 26, 1942, in Maud, Texas, Doyle was the beloved son of Alice Smith Bell Spencer and Sidney Bell.

In 1952, he journeyed with his family to Oregon, where he would lay roots and build a life filled with love, resilience and dedication. Doyle was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Alice Louise Poteet, whose memories he always cherished.

Doyle's life was one of service and steadfast commitment. He joined the National Guard in 1960, embracing his duty with pride. He found fulfillment in his work within the timber industry across the Pacific Northwest, contributing to the region he loved so deeply. Later, he served with the Housing Authority until his well-earned retirement in 2004, always known for his hard work, integrity and unyielding spirit.

Above all, Doyle's greatest joy was his family. He shared 47 beautiful years with his beloved wife, Joyce "Ann" Adkison Bell, whose love was the foundation of his life. He was the proud father of James D. Bell of Roseburg, Clifford M. Bell of Sutherlin and Crystal A. Bell Boyles and her husband Larry Boyles, of Roseburg. His heart also embraced his stepdaughter Holly Adair, of Portland. Doyle's love and pride extended to his grandchildren Jessica Bell Richcreek (and Cliff) of Tenmile, Joey Bell of Sutherlin, Cassidy Bell of Oakland, Cade Bell (and Kiana) of Roseburg and Traven Halterman of Tri-City, each of whom brought light to his life. He was also blessed with six great-grandchildren: Ryder, Macy, Addi, Lucas, Melaina and Blair, whose laughter and joy he treasured deeply. By his side through the years was his loyal dog Tucker, who brought him comfort, companionship and unconditional love.

A celebration of Doyle's life, reflecting the love, kindness and devotion he shared, will be held at 1 p.m. Dec. 7, 2024, at Taylor's Family Funeral Home in Winston. In honor of his memory, let us carry forward his legacy of love, resilience and the importance of family.
