Donna Ilene Cross passed away on May 15 2024 believing absence from the body present with the Lord. She had no siblings or children and was preceded in death by her parents. What was important to her was the Lord, her husband Gary, her dogs, home, friends and family. She would like to be remembered for her love of animals and her giving nature to friends and family organizations. She believed not in sitting in the bleachers but getting out into the game. That living with some annoyances keeps us from becoming self-serving. The best place to be is in God's hind pocket and take up housekeeping there. A celebration of life for Donna will be held at the Riversdale Grange in Roseburg at 2:00 PM on June 22. It was Donna's wish that any memorial tributes be sent to Saving Grace Animal Shelter in Roseburg. "A hundred  years from now, it will not matter the sort of house I lived in, what my bank account was, or the car I drove, but the world may be different because I was important in the life of the animals and the creatures on this earth."
