Diana Lynn Curtis went to be with our Lord on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at the age of 54. Diana was born on July 28, 1955 in Coos Bay, Oregon to Bernard 'Bud' and Helen (Nicholas) Warnken. Diana was the oldest of three daughters. She graduated from Marshfield High School in Coos Bay in 1973. She completed a Medical Administrative Assistant program at Merrit Davis School of Business in Salem, Oregon in 1983. Diana married Dave Curtis on February 11, 1989. They had dated in high school and went different directions. Ten years later they met again and were married. They loved to go to the coast for fish and chips and for day trips. They took many trips together and snowmobile trips to Crater Lake. Diana worked hard all of her adult life. She had a variety of careers, including being a forklift driver for a sheet metal shop, Medical Assistant, KGRV Christian Radio and most recently, worked 15 years as secretary at Redeemer's Fellowship where she retired. One of her accomplishments that she was very proud of was getting her commercial truck driver's license. She like yard work and her roses. Diana came to Christ in February of 1986 following the loss of her mother. Diana served the Lord by leading Women's Bible Studies and being an encouragement to them. Diana also loved to invite friends out to lunch and have them over for dinner and just spending time with them. When Diana was sick she still loved to get together with friends as often as her health permitted. Diana loved people and most importantly, she loved the Lord. She leaned on the Lord for her strength all through her illness. Diana is survived by her husband of 21 years, Dave Curtis, her dad, Bernard 'Bud' and his wife Diane of Sutherlin, her sisters, Leana Abel of Coos Bay and Jennifer Hutchinson of Sutherlin as well as her nieces and nephews. Diana will be deeply missed by all of her friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Reedemer's Fellowship in Roseburg, Oregon with a reception to follow. Officiating will be Pastor Steve Walker of Reedemer's.
