Dennis "Spike" Patrick Tucker passed away peacefully in his home in Roseburg, Oregon, surrounded by his loving family on September 6th, 2024. Dennis was born on February 24th, 1969 to Rollyn and Elizabeth Tucker in Tacoma, Washington. He was the youngest of six children. Rollyn and Elizabeth eventually parted ways. Dennis's father remarried, and Dennis gained a stepmother and stepsister, making him the youngest of seven.

Dennis was raised by his father and stepmother, Patricia Tucker. He spent part of his childhood in Yakima, Washington. He later moved to Oregon where he attended South Umpqua High School for a year, then moved again to Camas Valley, Oregon, where he graduated in 1987.

After high school he attended the University of Oregon for a year, served in the Army from 1988 to 1992, and then was in the reserves until 1996. He also attended and graduated from ITT.

Dennis lived in Washington after graduating from ITT but returned to Douglas County, Oregon, in 2016 after reconnecting with his high school friend Gisela Thrush, who he had fallen head over heals in love with. Their love story truly was a fairytale and one for the books. They married on November 18th, 2018, and spent 8 beautiful and amazing years together before his passing.

Dennis leaves behind his wife Gisela "Jill" Tucker, stepdaughter Rebekka Scevers and her husband Darrell, stepson Derikk Killcy, grandson Emery Hines-Scevers, sister Anna Tucker, and many nieces and nephews.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father Rollyn Tucker, stepmother Patricia Tucker, mother Elizabeth Tucker, brother Fred Tucker, sister Teresa Collins, brother Chip Tucker, sister Maureen Garrow, sister Debbie Tucker, and stepsister Paula Mitchell.

Dennis had a life long passion for music and playing the guitar. He taught himself to play when he was a teenager and continued to play until his passing. He also loved attending and taking his family to concerts.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 19th, 2024 at 1 pm at the Camas Valley Missionary Church. Potluck to follow, please bring your favorite dish. In lieu of flowers the family requests you to honor Dennis's passion for music and buy those concert tickets you have been thinking about, or make a donation to a local music program.
