Dennis Casey Parker passed at home on August 21, 2026, at age 73. Born July 14, 1953 in Ontario, Oregon, Casey grew up in a close, lively family as one of four children. 

He attended Umpqua Community College and Oregon State University, but his curiosity and knowledge reached far beyond formal education. Casey loved reading, trivia, documentaries, and comedy. He brought thoughtful conversation to every room he entered. 

Casey worked with dedication throughout his life - 18 years at Shell Station, four years at Roseburg Lumber, and 28 years at Orenco as a fiberglass technician. He was known for his reliability, strong work ethic, and quiet pride in doing a job well. 

In 1972, Casey met the love of his life, Tracey Noles, in a story he loved to retell: with the help of his friend Smitty, he kidnapped her from her freshman English class. They married January 10, 1976, and this January they joyfully celebrated their Golden Anniversary, marking 50 years together. Together they raised a son, David Parker. Casey warmly welcomed David's wife, BreAnna, into the family, and his granddaughter, Hailey Parker, brought him immeasurable joy. 

A homebody who deeply valued connection, Casey loved conversation around holiday tables, projects and adventures with Kerry Clark, and catching up with loved ones on the phone. He showed his love though acts of service - whether helping on his parents' ranches, working on family homes, or supporting community projects, he showed up and committed himself fully. 

Casey is survived by his siblings: Doris 'Chicky' Tuttle and her husband Clay, Tamera Bonebrake and her husband Stephen, and Tony Parker. He was blessed with many nieces and nephews. 

For 23 years, Casey served as Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 46, sharing patience, skill, and a spirit of adventure. He joined scouts on hikes, camps, and unforgettable trips, creating memories that shaped generations. 

Casey was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His kindness was steady, his presence comforting, and his love unwavering. He will be deeply missed forever.
