Cora Lee Fummerton

Cora Lee (Watson) Fummerton, age 90, passed away peacefully on October 28th 2025, in Dixonville, Or. Born on May 27, 1935 in Vale, Oregon to Ira and Zelma (Zahm) Watson. The 9th of 10 children. Cora Lee lived a life grounded in family, faith and tradition. A devoted member of St Joseph's Catholic Church, she found joy and strength in her spiritual community.

Cora was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, William G. Fummerton; her granddaughter Hillary Fummerton; grandson Daniel Ocumpaugh and daughter-in-law Connie Fummerton. Her legacy lives on through her nine children and their spouses, Lauretta Mike Sciple, William G. Fummerton, Susan Pete Wilde, Nancy Lester Ocumpaugh, Maureen Doug Short, Joseph Cassie Fummeton, John Kelsey Fummerton, Mitchell Fummerton, Celine Dan Weber. Cora also leaves behind 24 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Her brother Ron and Carol Watson and sister-in-law Delores (Dee) Watson. Her  extended family includes many beloved nieces and nephews, affectionately known as Grandma Honey to all. She deeply cherished time spent with her large and loving family.

A talented quilter, Cora lovingly crafted each piece with care and devotion. Her quilts become treasured heirlooms, symbols of warmth and generosity she shared throughout her life.

A memorial mass will be held at St Joseph Catholic Church, 800 W. Stanton St. Roseburg, Oregon, November 29, 2025 at 10:00 am. The rosary will be recited prior to the mass at 9:00 am.  Reception to follow. May her memory bring comfort to all that knew and loved her.
