Charley F. Stringer of Sutherlin, Oregon , passed away February 19, 2010, at home with his family. He was born June 3, 1937, in O'Donnel, Texas, to Odie and Thelma Stringer. On August 20, 1957 he married Walburga Nitsche in Holzgerlingen, Germany. He served in the military for 20 years and retired in 1974 in Sutherlin, Oregon. He is survived by his wife Walburga; sons Tim, Karl, Steve, Jem, and Dave; daughters, Karen and Liz; brothers Don, Bobby Jean, Marvin; sisters Elisabeth and Mildred; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at Taylor's Family Chapel located at 245 SW Main St. in Winston, Oregon on Friday, February 26, 2010 at 10:00 am. A viewing will be two hours prior to services.
