Carla Kae Strode Williams was born May 12, 1951. She grew up in Riddle. Graduated from Riddle High School.

She married Robert Edward Williams (Bob) on September 11, 1972, and became a military spouse, traveling with Bob to the different stations. They lived in Japan for four years. She loved Japan and shared her experience with classrooms.

Carla was always helping with any program that involved kids. She volunteered at the grade school helping the teachers in their classrooms. She took tickets for the school games and was one of the loudest to cheer at the games. She was a 4-H leader for 32 years with her sons, grandchildren, and other community kids.

She was enormously proud of her family and especially her grand-kids, she traveled to all their activities and was their loudest cheerleader.

She was highly active in the community. A life member of the Veterans of Foreign War Auxiliary helping veterans and their family. Part of the community Mixed Nuts crafters group where people came together to sew and share time together.

Carla had three children Dwight, Katrina and Daniel, Two Daughter – Laws Rainee and Darus, Five Grandchildren Riley, Molly Kolby, Emberly, and Tucker

Proceed in death were her daughter Katrina, her parents Charles and Winnefred Strode, her brothers, Robert, Donald, Sisters Charlotte, and Clara.


Services will be held at the Roseburg National Cemetery April 19 at 3:00 pm

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VFW Auxiliary Youth programs or Cancer programs.
