Brian Trumbo passed away on December 12th, 2012 to be with his creator and with his father, George Trumbo. He is the youngest of five children, born to Alicia and George Trumbo on March 11th, 1985 in Roseburg, Oregon. Brian grew up in Sutherlin and Oakland, attending school in both towns. Early on he developed into a skilled artist and had a creative imagination. Brian spent time between Oakland and Sutherlin, and upon the passing of his father, moved to Sutherlin where he attended school through his senior year of high school. Brian's musical ambitions eventually exceeded his ambitions for school, and he later spent the majority of his time writing and being involved with music. He spent several years promoting his music and developed popularity as he went by his stage name, Dat Dude. Brian is known for being a terrific cook, from world famous burritos to cooking up complicated dishes. Most recently, Brian enrolled at Umpqua Community College and was working ambitiously towards a degree in Culinary Arts. He is known for being kind, curious, clever and a comedian. He is an artist, and a passionate lover of music. Brian enjoyed the good times and he knew how to endure during even the hardest of times. Everybody knows him for his clever sense of humor that could put a smile on any face and brighten the dullest day. Whether it was with a joke, a smile, a song, or even his beautiful eyes, he could reach into a person's soul and warm their heart. He loved us all and we all loved him. Brian knew the best parts of life, and he knew the best ways to enjoy life. He loved food, he loved music, he loved the outdoors, he loved his family, he loved his friends. Brian loved the earth and he loved the stars. And, just as the sun rises it also must set, so every time sun crosses the horizon, know that Brian Trumbo is there to enjoy it with you. Brian is survived by his mother, Alicia and step-father Frank Winters of Sutherlin, sisters Gisel Bitterman of Roseburg and Kimberly Trumbo of Salem, and brothers Sergeant Luis Trumbo of the United States Air Force and Adrian Trumbo of Portland.
