We mourn the passing of Betty Jean Hodson Johnson. She passed in her sleep on August 5, 2025 in Roseburg, Oregon. She was born in Williams Lake, British Columbia, Canada on April 26, 1932 to Edith and Thomas Hodgson. Betty was the youngest of six children. She married Thomas Johnson in Williams Lake. Their son Thomas was born in Williams Lake, and soon after his birth they moved to Roseburg, Oregon where their daughter Jeannie was born. Betty loved a good party, playing Bridge, eating chocolate, painting, and maybe loved most of all was her dogs. She loved hosting others at her home and was always surrounded by loved ones. She lived a long and peaceful life in very good health.

She is survived by her daughter Jeannie, and grandchildren Megan (Leo), John (Noelle), and Tennille (Jeffrey). She is proceeded in death by her parents, brothers, sisters, husband, son, and multiple dogs. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Lisa Black's Adult Foster Care Home. Lisa and her staff took excellent care of Betty during her stay and we are more than grateful for their compassion, patience, and expertise. There will be a Celebration of Life at Idleyld Lodge on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 10:30 am.
