Barbara Diane
Contreras
Mar 29, 1961 — Apr 24, 2026
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered.
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Barbara Diane Contreras, lovingly known as "Bobbie". On Friday, April 24th at 3:46 a.m., she peacefully entered eternal rest. To so many throughout the community, she was simply known as Mama—a name that reflected the warmth, love, and comfort she gave so freely to everyone around her.
Bobbie had a heart that welcomed all. She was always ready to lend an ear, offer support, and pray with anyone in need. Her faith in God was the foundation of her life, and she shared that love and strength with others every chance she had.
She found joy in the simple and beautiful things—days spent at the river, being outdoors, caring for her plants, camping, and cheering on her children and grandchildren at their sporting events. She loved being a mother just as deeply as she loved being a grandmother, and time spent with her children was often the highlight of her day. She especially treasured Christmas, delighting in giving gifts and making the season magical for those she loved.
Bobbie was known for her humor, creativity, and ability to make others laugh. She had a special gift for finding fun and joy in everyday moments, always bringing lightness and laughter wherever she went. She had a strong spirit, a fierce love for her husband and children, and a heart overflowing with pride for her grandchildren. She embraced motherhood and grandmotherhood with endless joy.
She was a woman of incredible strength, deep compassion, and unwavering love. The joy she poured into this life will continue to grow through her family, through the countless lives she touched, and through the memories that will forever remain in our hearts.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Raymond Contreras, and her six children: Shawn Contreras, Amanda Batchelor, Kassidy Contreras, Chazz Contreras, Kattie Flint, and Michael Contreras. She also leaves behind her 13 cherished grandchildren, extended family, and a community who loved her dearly.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing she is now resting in the arms of Jesus, free from pain, and surrounded by eternal peace.
She was deeply loved, and she will be deeply missed.
