GEORGE LEO MICHEAUX III
George Leo Micheaux III, passed away on September 2, 2012 near Bandon, Oregon at the age of 19. He was born August 16, 1993 in Palmer, Alaska, son of George Leo Jr. and Lisa Ann (Dillard) Micheaux. He moved to Oregon and settled in Douglas County in 2009. That same year he was united in marriage to Ruth Sherrie Leach on November 25th in Gallup, New Mexico. George was a hunter and enjoyed camping. He was an expert at fixing firearms and recently graduated from the Penn Foster Gun Smith School of Scranton, PA. He loved the outdoors with Big Lake and Hatcher Pass, both in Alaska, being his favorite places in the world. George also loved his dogs, Hannibal Lector and Munchkin and he was an artist and was always drawing.
As a Second Amendment supporter, he was a member of the N.R.A. He was also a member of the American Gunsmith Association and the American Hunting Club. George was a gun tester for Gun Tests Of Texas.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sherrie of Myrtle Creek, whom he cherished. He leaves his father, George Leo Jr. of Washington. He leaves his two sisters, Kristie and Casey both of Washington and a nephew. And his grandmother, Carol Eksted of Alaska He is also survived by a daughter Vallena Tuell and her five children of Myrtle Creek.
George leaves a brother, Cole and two sisters, Angelee and Renee, all of Washington. He also leaves numerous uncles, aunts and cousins, including Ruth Dayton and her five children of Eugene, Oregon. He was preceded in death by his mother Lisa Ann, who passed away in 2006. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Sunday, October 7, 2012 at the Winston Community Center.
